Fobbed Off By Security Solution

17 June 2016 | Updated 01 January 1970

SimonsVoss has launched a new keyless locking system suitable for a variety of buildings, including commercial offices and healthcare applications.

MobileKey can replace a traditional lock with an electronic cylinder and standard keys with a transponder, PIN code keypad or an app on users’ own smartphones.

It will allow FMs to tailor a full system specifically on their preferences and gives them the ability to grant specific access and have time schedules, event logging and door monitoring at their fingertips.

Implementation is easy as it doesn’t require any cabling or drilling. It’s flexible and convenient, so should a transponder be missing, reprogramming is easy, with no need to replace locks or keys.

Ludger Voss, chief technology officer at SimonsVoss, said: “Electronic remote control keys for cars has become standard practice – so why not apply this principle to buildings?

“The system uses electronic door cylinders instead of mechanical ones and can be fitted with no cabling or drilling required, causing minimal disruption to current occupants or visitors to your building.”
