Forbo Flooring Systems Stand No. T1505

31 May 2016 | Updated 01 January 1970

Forbo Flooring Systems’ new loose lay Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) collection, Allura Flex 0.55, consists of contemporary reclaimed wood designs and natural stone aesthetics.

Reflecting the grains, patterns and tones found within wood and stone elements, the new LVT range comprises of designs that will connect end users to the natural world inside. Forbo claims the loose lay format means that the collection has a cost effective installation, as it is quick and easy to fit.

The authentic and rustic tones that are usually found in salvaged wood have been accurately represented within this range, however Forbo has also refreshed some of the designs with colourful finishes – giving the collection a modern edge.

Deemed a ‘luxury’ aesthetic, natural stone has been used in interiors for centuries and the look still remains popular. The modern aesthetics of stone and the lavish appeal of marble are realised within Forbo’s Allura Flex 0.55 Stone range, allowing designers to create the natural design without the associated high costs.

Allura Flex 0.55 is available in a variety of formats from squares and rectangles for the Stone range and three plank sizes for the Wood range [150x28m, 125x25m and 100x20m]. Forbo has varied the number of plank sizes to enable the creation of diverse and striking patterns, including herringbone, chevron and wicket designs.

Julie Dempster, at Forbo Flooring Systems, comments: “This new loose lay LVT collection also has a number of application benefits. In retail, office and leisure and hospitality environments, designers are increasingly maximising the space available by zoning areas for a variety of activities. Boutique hotels have already started to create these bespoke areas for their guests and within offices, break out areas and quiet working zones are increasing in popularity for employees.

“Allura Flex 0.55 is thicker than standard LVTs available on the market to enable a loose lay installation. It can also be installed with the same tackifier that is used for carpet tiles, which results in less time, cost and mess during installation.”
