A new mobile workforce management system is helping specialist cleaning businesses in the UK and Ireland. They report that they have experienced ‘significant reductions’ in the costs of providing their service to clients.

Provided by GeoPal Solutions, it enables companies to provide better value services to clients by reducing administration time and costs for managing remote teams.

The cloud service and mobile app enables FM service providers to see the location of their cleaning staff in real time, to eliminate paperwork in the field and re-entry of data in the office, and to schedule and dispatch job information to cleaners’ mobile phones.

GeoPal enables automatic updates to job details on the phone and allows for managers to see which worker is closest to the job for faster dispatch. GeoPal also delivers instant, accurate communication of customer sign-off from the field to office systems. This significantly reduces administration time for scheduling work and processing invoices, therebyincreasing cash flow.

“Since implementation of GeoPal, we have improved route efficiency, saving time and fuel costs, as well as operational efficiencies because we can capture cleaning status and duration in real-time,” said Pat Foy, MD, Cleanway, the only national cleaning company in Ireland. “We have also taken approximately 40 man-hours out of end-of-month invoice processing. The monetary savings being achieved far out-weigh the monthly fee. We achieved 100% return on investment within seven months of implementation.”

Current FM customers include DynoRod, Swiftclean, Coffey Northumbrian and Bourne Leisure (Butlins and Haven holiday parks).
