Howdy Partner for the New Show

27 March 2015 | Updated 19 March 2019

UK Construction Week in October this year is taking shape and this week has seen Glenigan, construction intelligence provider, has signed up as the event’s official knowledge partner.

The partnership is designed to help UK Construction Week (6-11 October, 2015, NEC, Birmingham International) provide ‘authoritative insight’ and useful seminar content for each of the nine shows that come under the event’s umbrella.

Alan Wilén, Economics Director at Glenigan and Tom Crane, economist, will both take up spots on the speaker programme, sharing some of the company’s experience.

Glenigan will also play an important role in supporting the Hosted Buyer Programme at event. Designed to offer active buyers a structured and effective show experience, the programme will allow buyers to cut through the ‘noise’ by going directly to the suppliers and vendors that are most able to meet their needs.

Glenigan will work with the UK Construction Week team to organise a bespoke programme of hand-picked supplier meetings, seminars and networking events for participants in the programme, designed to help visitors fulfil both their immediate and longer term procurement needs, as well as providing exhibitors with effective, face-to-face meetings with buyers working on live projects.

“The insight and knowledge Glenigan can provide will be a valuable asset for visitors and exhibitors alike,” stated Richard Morey, Group Events Director, Media 10, the event company producing UK Construction Week.

Glenigan’s customers include government agencies, construction companies and suppliers of materials and services to the industry.

Held at the Birmingham NEC from 6-11 October (with the trade days from 6-8 October), UK Construction Week claims it will bring together nine shows, 1,000 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors under one roof and comprises:

  • Grand Designs Live.
  • Timber Expo.
  • Build Show.
  • Surface and Materials Show.
  • Kitchens & Bathroom Live.
  • Plant & Machinery Live.
  • Energy 2015.
  • HVAC 2015.
  • Smart Buildings 2015.
