Mail that Goes with the Flow

03 March 2016 | Updated 01 January 1970

The OPEX Mail Matrix uses intelligent robotic wireless (IBOT) technology to distribute a wide variety of hard copy mail into a convenient array of delivery bins in a single pass.

It uses recognition and database software, a high quality image capture system and wireless communication to determine the appropriate location and then transport and deliver each piece. Claiming to combine a small footprint, high functionality and cost saving improvement, the system offers an attractive option to meet the general needs of postal processing facilities across all key sectors.

The operation integrates into existing workflow while streamlining processing with just the one run and the compact configuration features removable delivery bins on both sides of the machine to minimise expensive floor space.

The OPEX Mail Matrix also offers modular flexibility with scalable delivery modules, IBOTs and keying stations for future growth, in tandem with the versatility to distribute all manner of real post including letters, large flats, publications and small parcels quickly and easily using a wide range of sorting options, e.g. name, department, building and floor, or whatever suits the particular needs at up to 3,600 items per hour. Where a destination is not recognised the operator can intervene and key in the relevant details.
