No Need to Wire Up

11 March 2016 | Updated 01 January 1970

i2 Office operates an expanding number of business centres in prime city centre locations across the UK to suit all sizes of business and each i2 Business Centre also provides virtual office services and meeting rooms for hire.

A challenge to meet was that all of i2 Office’s sublets had been hardwired into an existing access control system that had proved costly and time consuming. When it decided to upgrade its security systems, it wanted a security technology that was both user friendly and that eliminated the use of cabling around doors.

Each office is now secured with Aperio wireless locks. This eliminates the use of cabling and operates without needing to replace the existing access control system, thereby minimising installation costs. Access can be granted or denied instantly without having to update cards which benefits i2 Office when there is a change of tenant as it saves time and resources.

It is claimed by ASSA ABLOY that installing Aperio wireless locks has ‘transformed’ each of i2 Office’s sublets into an aesthetically pleasing, safe and secure environment for everyone.
