Read Full ArticlePlanon Mobile Field Services, launched today, has been designed to connect all stakeholders involved in the planning, execution and monitoring of field service activity through closing the loop between customer service demand, administrative back office systems and field execution staff.
Tim Clapham, (pictured) at Planon explains: “In today’s business climate, the speed and quality of end-to-end service processing is key, not just in task execution but also in administrative and financial processing. Planon’s Mobile Field Services helps businesses to meet these challenges by rapidly providing field service teams with solutions they can use on any mobile device, with the added reassurance of a secure cloud service."
The cloud based service is part of Planon’s Maintenance Management Solution - a central back-office application used by many service teams for planning and control. Mobile Field Services helps engineers in executing their daily work efficiently and effectively by giving service engineers the ability to select their next job, read specific work instructions and monitor time and materials used – all on their mobile device.
In addition, Planon’s Mobile Field Services can:
· Remotely carry out health and safety checks and dynamic risk assessments to ensure there is full compliance with local legislation and reduce any risks involved on a project
· Improve productivity through more efficient job dispatches and time management, leading to more jobs being completed
· Reduce costs by monitoring the execution of a project and avoiding expensive failures or errors
· Raise customer service by enabling service engineers to respond more quickly and achieve more first call resolutions.
