SERIFM aims to create more resilient organisations and assist the FM community to share threat data and exploit new technology.
It is the intention of SERIFM to help enable this sharing. Security and Resilience In Facilities Management will provide the ideal platform to help create a highly informed customer, to demand the highest quality imagery from visual surveillance systems, to inform the supply chain of the need for resilience and to highlight new technologies, procedures and tactics as they are deployed and as experience is gained from their use.
SERIFM is a not-for-profit group dedicated to leading the fight back against crime and strengthening resilience at a time of reduced national resources.
Conferences
Sadly, one in five businesses in the UK can expect to face a crisis in 2016. Twenty-five percent of those businesses will not re-open after the event.
Sound business continuity planning, mission rehearsals and recovery plans help to alleviate the effect of crisis and speed the system downtime caused.
SERIFM conferences will address these issues. They will highlight best practice, report the outcomes of enquiries into incidents of note and enable the FM community and its clients and suppliers, to hear first hand from the politicians, security experts, emergency planners, first responders and the security services of the threats we face and the counter-measures needed to overcome them.
Newsletters
SERIFM newsletters will reinforce the key messages. Alerts and incidents will be flashed to members using social media. Regular dinners will allow members to debate the fundamentals and question policy makers over future structural reforms.

SERIFM’s ethos is to provoke debate, influence government policy by creating a voice for the industry, pressure security systems to produce better performance and ultimately to fill the austerity gap.
SERIFM’S inaugural conference will set the UK’s strategic resilience picture as seen through the eyes of the Metropolitan Police, the Cabinet Office, academia and the security services. It will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 15th June 2016 in the prestigious Ledenhall Street building with reception from 12.30 and conference commencement at 13.30.
