Shedding Light in a New Way

29 January 2016 | Updated 01 January 1970

The German lighting manufacturer betec Licht AG has expanded its picture light segment with its new Angulus picture light that is particularly suitable for flat picture frames.

The light profile for Angulus can be adjusted providing what is claimed to be optimal lighting and harmony between light and art.

A larger bracket has been developed which includes the benefit of a longer distance between the lamp and paintings. In addition, the luminosity has doubled in order to illuminate larger flat surfaces.

The company has  developed two frames for the Angulus – the bracket type 15 is suited for images with heights up to 60cm, while the bracket type 25 is used designed for thicker frames and vertical portraits.

The DUO LED light Angulus is rotatable through 360° and has a life of up to 50,000 hours. The light tube has an angle profile of 17mm x 17mm. These lamps are made of brass and are available with different finishes such as burnished, chrome-plated or 24ct gold plated.

Angulus can be selected in colour temperatures of 2,400 or 3,000 Kelvin. In addition a touch dimmer can be included as an option which enables the light to simply be switched on or off or dimmed throughout. The picture light is available with lengths ranging from 250mm-1,000 mm.
