Shelter that can be a Blender

Little thought often goes into the design of commonplace structures such as bicycle shelters but Allpark believes they deserve more.

The company has built its reputation on supplying a wide range of shelters, canopies and compounds, serving a variety of purposes.

A trend it has noticed recently is that many of its customers are ordering wooden clad bespoke shelters. The appeal is in the design, rather than just functionality.

It appears that it is becoming increasingly important to ensure that these structures blend seamlessly with their surroundings. “After meeting with various clients to discuss their shelter needs, it became obvious that there was a real gap in the market,” explained Andrew Thomson, MD, Allpark. “Many of the modern shelters are well suited to commercial buildings and city centres but for rural areas or for businesses with landscaped gardens, a design that was more in keeping with the area was required.”

The company states that it has ‘spent a considerable amount of time’ researching the best woods to use and ensuring that its wooden compounds are just as secure as its other compound products. Allpark has even developed roofing that allows for it to be ‘turfed’, adding what it feels is a truly ‘green’ dimension.
