Show for Energy Management

05 November 2015 | Updated 01 January 1970

Ahead of the 2015 Paris Climate conference, UK energy efficiency's decision makers have the opportunity to meet at the Energy Management Exhibition (EMEX) next month. ThisWeekinFM is a Media Partner to the event.

Held at London’s ExCel (11-12 November 2015) EMEX claims to establish and build partnerships between business, third party intermediaries, training suppliers, government and public bodies to accelerate the adoption of energy efficiency measures in order to reduce energy demand.

The highlights include:

  • 4,000 plus visitors, reportedly the largest number of key stakeholders and energy users.

  • Major energy users – the chance to meet key decision makers from across a wide spectrum of industry sectors who have successfully implemented substantial energy efficiency measures.

  • Over 80 first class speakers including industry CEOs, ‘thought’ leaders, and key representatives from UK government departments and agencies.

  • Interactive discussion panels throughout the event, allowing for in-depth learning and knowledge delivery.

  • Workshops and co-located awards ceremonies to maximise networking opportunities throughout the two days.

  • Energy Management as a Profession Theatre One will feature training opportunities and career development in the energy management sector for any professionals with a background in FM engineering, sustainability, environment, or years of experience. Ian Jones, Director of Facilities at ITV, Stuart Kirk, Head of Energy & Carbon at WM Morrisons Supermarket and Chris Mayhew, Operations Improvement Manager at British Sugar give their tips on a successful career.

EMEX will reveal how major energy users in the public sector such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew or the Department of Energy & Climate Change have successfully deployed the Mayor of London's award-winning scheme RE:FIT which provides a commercial model for public bodies wishing to achieve substantial financial cost savings, improve the energy performance of their buildings and reduce their CO2 footprint.

Across the two days, EMEX will provide visitors with a series of case studies where leading practitioners will share their knowledge and expertise across a broad range of topics and industries.

EMEX will also look at Energy and Facilities Management with the launch of the 40:20:40 Ratio initiative to recognise the greater role behaviour change should play into the mix of energy efficiency measures.

Details: EMEX 2015 – ExCeL London. Opening times: Wednesday 11 November: 10:00-17:00. Thursday 12 November: 10:00 – 17:00.
