Read Full ArticleProfessor Kevin Bampton is the CEO of the British Occupational Hygiene Society, the Chartered Society for Worker Health Protection. Kevin is a Professor of Public Law and believes that the right to a healthy working environment is at the heart of all employee wellbeing.
Kevin joined the BOHS after a career involving Higher Education Senior Management, the United Nations and International Development. He has worked extensively with Chartered and Professional Societies in the development of their professional services and qualifications. He also has a long-standing commitment to employment rights.
The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) is the professional home to the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (FOH) and the Faculty of Asbestos Assessment and Management (FAAM), providing training and education as the world’s biggest awarding body for Occupational Hygiene and Asbestos-related qualifications, and works with industry, worker representative groups and government to promote good occupational hygiene practice.
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, The BOHS is now a leading scientific charity with global reach and national influence, working to promote occupational hygiene and protect the health of workers.
Health and Safety Executive figures show that 135 workers died in work-related incidents between April 2022 to March 2023, an increase of just over nine per cent from last year. The BOHS is dedicated to protecting everyone’s right to a healthy working environment.
We joined Professor Bampton to learn more about the greatest threats to ill-health in the workplace and the effect of technology on health and safety provision.
