Manchester Metropolitan University has let a contract to Oltec FM to provide an outsourced service to support to its in-house security team.

The new contract will include security patrols, CCTV monitoring, library security, residential security and special events.

Oltec is a Security Industry Association approved contractor but also offers other building and FM services. Alan Cain, Head of Security and Business Continuity at Manchester Metropolitan University said: “Oltec put considerable effort into researching our security requirements and this was clearly reflected in the quality of their tender submission. They have worked alongside the University’s in-house security team since 2015 in support of both campus security and special events. The new contract expands on this to include support for our in-house teams involved in library and residential security.”

Manchester Metropolitan University is the largest campus based undergraduate University in the UK with a total student population of over 37,000.
