Four new appointments have been made to its Facilities Management board by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

With the additional four appointments, the board – also known as the RICS Facilities Management Professional Group – now comprises eight members, bringing together a ‘diverse’ range of professional experience and skills.

It will work to further establish professional FM as a key area of business strategy for organisations of every size and position, supported by the institution’s experience in the field.

The new board members are Dr Rachel Dick, Senior FM Consultant at Mace Macro, Sam Hockman, Director of Operations at Serco, Deborah Rowland, Head of Property Asset Management at the Ministry of Justice and Dennis Markey, Chief Operating Officer at NHS Property Services as its newest FM board members.

They follow the recent appointment of Kath Fontana, MD of BAM FM as Chair of the RICS FM board. “We are delighted that such high calibre individuals have chosen to join us,” she stated. “With our new board now complete, we are confident we will be able to build on the good work done to date and take forward our mission to advance the strategic reputation and reach of our profession.”
