The Great British Bake Off - Not Too Many Chefs Go to Paris

01 November 2013 | Updated 01 January 1970

Earlier this year Sodexo announced its partnership with the well known Ecole Lenôtre. The plan is that every year, it will send up to 40 of its chefs from its Independents by Sodexo business to Paris to undertake the course, with each year focusing on a different skill.

A group of chefs from the independent education division at Sodexo, have just returned from Paris after an intensive three-day course in the art of boulangerie.

The chefs who attended this first course, under the tutorage of Lenôtre’s chef baker, Dominique Levier, are responsible for the company’s innovation hubs at independent schools across the country, including Eton College; Licensed Victuallers School, Ascot; Abingdon School, Oxon; Woldingham School, Surrey; Tudor Hall School, Oxon; Bedford School and Reed’s School, Surrey. The next group will travel to Paris in January 2014.

Sodexo has an annual turnover of over £1bn and delivers a range of services ranging from catering, cleaning, reception to asset management, security, laboratory and grounds maintenance services.
