Waste Management Thinking Key to �38million Decision

MITIE’s new £38m waste management and cleaning contract with Mitchells & Butlers is for a three year period. The firm already works for the restaurants and pubs operator.

MITIE will provide recycling and environmental services at 1,600 restaurants and pubs all over the UK and will also deliver cleaning at 650 establishments.Martyn Freeman, MD of MITIE's FM business, said: “We will be building on our relationship to bring value, innovation and quality services through a strategic FM model.”

Jamie Swanston, Head of Corporate and Retail Procurement at Mitchells & Butlers, said: “MITIE’s solution to waste management aligns with our strategy of improving our sustainable waste management performance and reducing our costs.”

Mitchells & Butlers owns Harvester, Toby Carvery, All Bar One, O’Neills’s, Nicholson’s, Miller & Carter, Browns and Vintage Inns.
