Bouygues Energies & Services has become a BIFM Recognised Centre, delivering BIFM qualifications in facilities management in-house for its employees.

The company now provides BIFM level 3 qualifications in facilities management (FM) as part of its academy which has already sponsored over 100 people through levels 3-7 FM qualifications.

This additional step to become a BIFM Recognised Centre is in response to feedback from Bouygues Energies & Services’ learners, requesting more flexible ways to study and to be assessed in ways that fit the demanding work patterns. Through the scheme and as a centre in its own right, the company now offers an e-learning option for the BIFM Level 3 qualifications in FM, increasing the opportunities available internally to complete a regulated and professionally recognised qualification.

David Carr, Managing Director of Bouygues Energies & Services, explained: “Bouygues Energies & Services is very proud of its committed and passionate team. In today’s world, it is more vital than ever to have an adaptable, well trained team. Becoming a BIFM Recognised Centre is a real achievement and an essential part of this journey.”

Bouygues Energies & Services has worked with BIFM for many years as one of the employers closely involved in the development of the qualifications in FM and the FM Professional Standards. A vital strategic alliance, this exemplifies BIFM’s long standing commitment to engaging with employers to develop meaningful and relevant standards for the facilities management profession.

Linda Hausmanis, Head of Professional Standards and Education at BIFM, added: “BIFM welcomes Bouygues Energies & Services to the growing number of employers that are committed to the development of its staff, which ultimately leads to the professionalisation of the facilities management industry.”
