Winning a 'Critical Security Management' Agreement

Mitie has secured a three-year contract to manage the security aspect of Interxion data centres.

As part of the three-year contract, Mitie’s security business, Total Security Management, has been providing manned security to its London data centre campus since this February.

Interxion provides data centres with hard facilities as well as data management technology and awarded the contract to Mitie based on its sector experience. The FM operations in critical security environments (CSE) and technology improvements such as its online platform, Mitsm, have been introduced across the contract.

Mitsm is a multi-functional operational tool developed by Mitie, and is said to give security officers ‘oversight’ on all current jobs. The platform allows them to manage schedules and calendars, and prepare key performance information.

“I’m delighted to be working with Interxion,” said Bob Forsyth, MD, Total Security Management, Mitie. “We’ve developed our sector specialism so that our clients have peace of mind that they are working with experts in critical security management.”
